The Mimi Wig by JBExtension has quietly become a TikTok bestseller, with more than 1,400 units sold and countless “get ready with me” clips showing her off. But does she actually live up to the hype? After trying Mimi in copper, red, dark blonde and apricot, I can say she’s one of the most comfortable and easy-to-wear wigs I’ve tested so far.

That said, Mimi isn’t totally flawless, I did need to trim the fringe (though I have a petite head and a low hairline, so not everyone will). After wearing Mimi properly, here’s how she performs in terms of comfort, fit, and everyday wearability.
Styling & Adjustments
While Mimi is easy to wear as-is, I did trim the fringe to suit my smaller head and low hairline.
One thing to note: the Scalpiana hard top isn’t the best for volume. The fibres can sit quite flat, so if you prefer a lifted, bouncy style, you might be better off paying a little more for a wig with permatease. For me, this wasn’t a deal breaker, but it’s worth knowing before you buy.

Pros & Cons of the Mimi Wig
No wig is perfect – here are Mimi’s biggest wins and the little things worth knowing before you buy.
- Pros: affordable, comfortable fit, versatile length, natural look, great colour range
- Cons: fringe may need trimming, hard silky top may not be for everyone, Scalpiana top sits quite flat (not great for volume-seekers).
Final Thoughts – Is Mimi Worth It?
Mimi has earned her TikTok fame for good reason. She’s affordable, comfortable, and stylish enough for everyday wear. For me, the fringe needed a trim, but overall, she’s a versatile wig that works across different looks.
